Short version: what you send us goes to the employer you applied to, and nowhere else. Deleted when you ask.

Who holds it

What we hold

If you talked to us on Messenger:

• Your first name and profile photo, from Messenger
• The kind of work you are looking for, the area, and when you can start
• Your conversation with us

If you applied to a job using an application form:

• Your name and phone number
• Your answers to the questions on that form
• Your CV, and what it says — your work history, your education and the rest of what you chose to put in it

We read your CV so that your profile is filled in without you having to type it all again, and so that it can be compared with what a job asks for. We never ask for an ID document, a bank detail or a password.

Who sees it

If you talked to us on Messenger: employers hiring on AdsForJobs, and only after you have confirmed your profile. Your phone number and your Facebook profile are never passed on. Every conversation goes through us.

If you applied using a form: the employer whose job you applied to. That is what applying means — they get your name, your number, your answers and your CV, so they can call you. No other employer sees it unless we offer you a job and you say yes.

How long

12 months after you last use AdsForJobs. Then it is deleted.

Getting out

If you have a profile: open your profile link and press Delete profile. Your profile and your photo are deleted and no employer sees you again. It takes one tap — the same as joining.

If you applied with a form: message our AdsForJobs page on Facebook and ask us to delete your application. We will, including your CV. An employer who has already received it keeps their own copy — we cannot reach into their records, so ask them too.

You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold, or to correct it, or to withdraw your consent at any time.

Using AdsForJobs

AdsForJobs is free for people looking for work. We do not charge you, and we never ask you to pay an employer or an agent. If anyone asks you for money for a job you found here, tell us.
